Dynamic optimal allocation of water resources in Red river – Thai Binh basins
Abstract
In natural resources economics, dynamic optimization models commonly are used to calculate the optimal uses of resources. This paper presents implementations of the dynamic optimization models for allocation of water resources in the context of some sub-basins in the Red-Thaibinh River Basin in Northern Vietnam. The model take into account water allocation between various sectoral structures of water users (agriculture, industry, households and other) as well as between regional (sub-regional) sectors.
