Study on hydrodynamics conditions, sediment transport and evaluation of beach nourishment for Cua Tung beach, Quang Tri

Abstract

     This paper presents results from a study on hydrodynamics conditions, sediment transport at Cua Tung beach, Quang Tri province and investigate the effectiveness of beach nourishment project which porposed for Cua Tung beach under framework of a national Scientific Research Project "Apply beach nourishment for eroded beach along the Central coast of Vietnam". The seasonal evolution of Cua Tung beach due to sediment transport and the total sediment transport at Cua Tung is investigated in the study. An equilibrium cross-section and design parameters for nourishment Cua Tung beach are also computed in the paper.
