Optimal safety standard of North Dinh river dike system in Ninh Thuan province

Abstract

     Recent years, in the flood seasons, Dinh river water often overflows the North dike system and causes flood in a large areas of Phan Rang - Thap Cham city. Under the impact of global climate change, sea-level rise and strong socio-economic growth of Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, it is required to upgrade the North Dinh river dikes to ensure higher flood safety. This paper focuses on determination of an optimal safety level of the dike system on basis of reliability and risk analysis. The result of research is served for dike upgrading plan of the Ninh Thuan province.
