Research to propose suitable method for determining the water permeability of high durable concrete

Abstract

   In order to evaluate the durability of concrete used for hydraulic structures, one of the most important properties need to be considered is water permeability of concrete. Various existing standards used for this property seems to be not suitable for the type of concrete with expected low permeability. This paper presents different methods to determine the water permeability of concrete, thence discuses and proposes the most suitable method for high durable concrete applied for sea dike and coastal protection works.
