The results of some study about improving the impermeability of roller compacted concrete

Abstract

    The disadvantage of roller compacted concrete (RCC) is its high permeability compared to conventional concrete, because the amount of cement and water required of RCC is lower. In order to improve the impermeability of RCC, it is necessary to have a suitable mix-design, appropriate mineral admixtures and chemical admixtures, and proper construction technologies. This paper discribes the results of some study about improving the impermeability of RCC to meet the climatic conditions of Vietnam.
