Application research on wes and Creager-ophixerop section of high water head spillway

Abstract

     Design a reasonable cross section of overflow water column is selected to design Hd to large flow coefficient, can save materials, but should limit the formation of large vacuum pressure on the face causing erosion and flooding regime hydraulic advantages. The application of cross-type spillway-Ophicerop pragmatic form and Wes Creager, reality is essentially no major differences, both practical shape curved spillway no vacuum. This paper summarizes some results of experimental studies, hydraulic model two types of applications this dam in Vietnam, analyze and compare the characteristics of shape, size and hydraulic parameters to help in actual use.
