Ability to meet water resources and the scientific basis for operation of reservoirs, hydropower stations of Huong river basin

Abstract

    Huong river system consists of three main branches: Ta Trach and Huu Trach, Bo down river delta, the Tam Giang - Cau Hai, and the East Sea with two estuaries of Thuan An and Tu Hien. Huong River that supply water for most economic sectors in the province. Along with the industrialization - modernization, development and demand for water is increasing. Therefore, the exploitation and use of water resources Huong River Basin to achieve the fundamental goals is to protect, efficient exploitation, sustainable development of water resources based on integrated management to meet water needs for the population, economic development - social, and security environment in the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization of the country. To have a scientific basis for evaluating the ability of water resources and meet the scientific basis of proposed coronary process in the system reservoirs upstream, the article highlighted the results using the NAM model to simulate rainfall-runoff and MIKE Basin water balance calculation and operation of reservoirs.
