Assessment of Nui Coc reservoir’s deposition, proposing solutions to protect and sustainable use.

Abstract

   Nui Coc reservoir plays an important role in the social-economic development of Thai Nguyen province. In recent years, due to the demand of water supply for Thai Nguyen City and tourism development, it requires the improvement of reservoir water in both quality and quantity. Meanwhile, some social-economic activities have made the significant increase in the sediment into the reservoir and reduced the working time of the structure. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the reservoir deposition in order to propose the preventive solutions for stable social-economic development.
