Assessing environmental values are affected by hydropower development projects

Abstract

    Any development projects in the world which have two sides of it. The one hand it is creating economic value and increase the growth of social. On the other hand most of these projects will cause environmental impacts that people should consider to sustainable development. The decision to invest in development projects must be calculated thoroughly on the usefull face, deteriorative face which it is bring backed. In other words to estimate the full costs and benefits of economic and environmental of the project in the views on the economy. Calculating the environmental benefitcost is still a new issue in Vietnam. In this article the authors discuss the application of some methods of Assessing environmental values of some typically environmental factors are affected by hydropower development projects.
