Abstract

    Cua Dat Reservoir is a national main point work, its net capacity is up to 1.45 billion cubic meters. The objectives of reservoir are to cut out and delay flood in the flood season, to provide the irrigational water to 85.115 hectares of farming land, for running water, industry and for generating electricity. To Apply information technology for modernization of the management and reservoir safety is very necessary. At present, there are several research groups that build the softwares for reservoir management and operation, but in Viet Nam there is only the software named "Information system for reservoir monitoring and management DHHC-PMTL.V.1.0" is built by Center for Water Resources Softwares - VietNam Academy for Water Resources includes total solution such as hardware monitoring system, calculate for predicting the stream flow to reservoir and irrigation demand at lowlands, planning for operation reservoir in the exhausted

season, or realtime operation. They are all included in this information system. This article will introduce the mathematical foundation of the reservoir monitoring and management information system DHHC-PMTL.V.1.0 to modernize the management works for Cua Dat reservoir.
