Rural environment of Vietnam is under threat

Abstract

    In Vietnam, while urban and city environments have been taken care and protected for some extent, rural environment is almost under oblivion.

    The context of Vietnam is: the target of agriculture development is commodity production. Along with it that is increase in extensive farming technique. The increase in production and field yield accompanies with the increase in using fertilizer and pesticide. In addition, livestock waste is directly released to the surround environments; aquatic wastewater is straight discharged to the rivers and to the sea; waste of trade villages is sources of three type of pollution: air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution; solid waste in rural areas annually is about 100 million ton, ...

    All these wastes are not under control. The question is how to protect the rural environment? This paper will suggest some measures and techniques to alleviate this problem.
