Some problems about quality control for dams execution

Abstract

    Dam as other constructions has to go through stages: geotechnical investigation, design and execution. Quality control for dams execution is a very important work in this line to guaranty construction quality because dams must be stable not only in slide, settlement but in leakage aspect.

    In order to gain this purpose the State has promulgated two standards as 14TCN 152:2006 "Field test method for determination of compactness degree of soil" and TCXDVN 301:2003 "Radioactive test method for determination of moisture content and compactness degree of soil". By studying these standards and practice experiences of execution on construction sites the author of the paper has analyzed inadequate issues of these standards with wishes quality control work for dam's execution will be better.
