Research effects of crown-walls having nose to wave overtopping discharges through sea-dikes
Abstract
Overtopping discharge on top of sea dike with crown wall is not ally depended free board Rc, slope of dike, roughness but also related to location, height and shape of the crown wall. Based on the 324 random scenariosexperiment of physical wave flume modeling we have founded an empirical formula to determine the impacts of the nose of crown-walls to wave overtopping discharge through sea-dikes. Therefore the research results also made more clearly Thieu Quan Tuan' formula (2013) as well as TAW- 2002 in case of crown wall.
