Solutuions of flood control and mitigation in coastal area of central Vietnam

Abstract

    Lying along coastal area of central Vietnam where extremely subject under properties of heavy rain and complex flow regime, flooding had been curently arisen as an critical issue. This problem has been sutudied at different local/natonal/international scales. This paper presents several effective solutuions of flood control and mitigation for whole cenrtal area, including:

- Non-constructional solution,

- Constructional solution, and

- Combined solution.

However, these above three mentionded solutions could be sucessfully applied for each typical area unless an adequate study was carried out in detail.
