The model simulates and predictes tendencies of accretionerosion, changes of botom topography in BaLat mouth of Hong river

Abstract

      The paper presented equations simulating and predicting tendencies of accretion-erosion, changes of bottom topography: transmition of the wave, long shore current, sedimen transport rate, changes of bottom topography and accretionerosion. Algorithms soving these equations are based on an finete-difference method. Simulated results showed that movements of accretion-erosion in study area depend on topography, monsoon(winter, summer) and flood seasion. Some erosion sections in winter with small scale and intensity. Almost sections are accretive strongly in summer with great scale and intensity. Every year, a beach and river mouth tendes to ward east and south eas. The bottom topography near the beach has been accreted and developed with large scale. Based on field data, the model had been adjusted and predicted tendencies of acctetion-erosion, changes of bottom topography in Balat mouth from 2006 to 2015.
