Mineral fertilizer demand-supply of Viet nam in the process of innovation

Abstract

       Before economic innovation, Viet nam has always met food shortage problems. Average rice productivity was only about 2,4 tonne/ha. Mineral fertilizers had been used with very low rate. Mineral fertilizer production has based mainly on some domestic factories with not worth considering outputs. In the process of innovation, the agriculture of Viet nam has achieved very successful results with high produtivities of cereal crops; the consumption anf production of mineral fertilizers is also increased continuously. But the fertilizer maket of Viet nam is instabile. Some main problems involved is analysed in this study
