Theoretic fundamentals for building dynamics model of flat top tower cranes

Abstract

     In recent years, demands of high buildings are increasing, especially in big cities of Vietnam such as Hanoi, Hochiminh city. Tower cranes always play an important role in building the high structures. The objective of the research is to get more knowledge of the dynamic behaviors of tower crane. The research considers a tower crane as a four degrees-of freedom robot. Combined with the rigging and piece, the robot translates to a dynamic system with a total of eight degrees of freedoms. According to the physics characteristics of the crane cable, the research will build the quotations of motion and develop a solver to solve these quotations in each time step during crane operation.
