Studying some factors impact on thermal stress status of Se San 3 concrete dam

Abstract

      To build a large gravity concrete dams, thermal stress is one of the most important factors that affects to dam stability, so it must be fully carry out while designing, constructing and operating. This article is showing some results in using Contest Pro software to study the impact of factors such as: cements content, temperature, block height and delaying time between two block in SeSan3 concrete dam. The method and calculation result should be uses as references for the similar dams.
