Assessment of the present status of water environment and proposal solution to protect water environment in VinhYen City

Abstract

     In this paper, the status of water environment in Vinh Yen City is described. The increase in population and rapid economic growth in recent years have put a large and increasing stress on the water resources and environment in the city. The water quality in surface and underground water is also highly degraded due to many sources of pollution. Some suggestions for improvement of water management are also proposed in the paper.
