The importance of mineral admixture in Roller Compacted concrete and experiences learned from using mineral admixture for RCC of DinBinh dam – BinhDinh

Abstract

      Mineral admixture is considered as a compulsory composition in roller compacted concrete mix. It plays important role in improving properties of concrete and meets some demands essential for construction proccess. This paper introduces the role of mineral admixture in Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC), different types of mineral admixtures can be used for RCC and exploitation condition in VietNam. Through practical experiences learned from using mineral admixture for RCC of DinhBinh dam , the paper presents some conclusions and recommendations for the RCC works those will be constructed in the next coming time.
