Morphodynamic modelling of Thuan An channel

Abstract

     This paper presents a morphodynamic modeling practice using a hydrodynamic model M2D and a wave model STWAVE for the Thuan An Inlet under the tide and wave actions. Analysis shows that the morphological change at the inlet is due to the variation of the longshore currents which are depending on the monsoon regime. Based on the analysis, stabilization measures are proposed for the access channel and the Thuan An beach.
