The installation of observational equipment in Tan Giang dam, Long Song dam and some proposals for the automation in observation

Abstract

     At the present, we are undertaking various irrigational and hydroelectric works of which the main works are concrete gravity dams in mass concrete type (traditional concrete and roller compact concrete-RCC). In parallel with researching calculations in structure, stability, analyzing thermal stress, establishment of proper construction technology process to ensure the required quality, works progress and reducing construction cost... we need to commit on undertaking of researches on designs and installation of observational equipment system: vertical displacement, sideway displacement; pore water pressure of dam foundation, temperature, stress, deformation of dam foundation and body, upstream water level... during the construction periods and works utilization.
