Proposal for calculation method of transportation unit cost of hydropower and hydraulic projects at site

Abstract

     Transportation activities on construction sites of hydropower and hydraulic projects has very high cost. It relates to the problems such as: transportation road, transportation equipments, transportation volume, and especially transporation organization schemes. Those factors have direct influence on the transportation cost and also on the construction cost. Besides, they also have influence on the work progress and safety at work. At the present time, the selection of reasonable transportation alternatives on construction sites has not received careful attention. This article proposes a calculation method for transportation unit cost on construction sites in order to be used as a basis for comparing and selecting the transportation network on construction sites of hydropower and hydraulic projects.
