Estimation boundary between river dike and estuary dike of the Tra Khuc river, Quang Ngai province

Abstract

    This paper presents study on calculation boundary between river dike and estuary dike of the Tra Khuc river, the Quang Ngai province, based on computation of upper limit of tidal propagation using hydraulics modelling Mike 11. This boundary is an important factor that helps to define functions, tasks, working environment and loadings on dike. This study is a theme in scientific research project: "Recommendation of dike cross sections suitable for various local boundary conditions of provinces from Quang Ngai to Ba Ria - Vung Tau". Achievements of this study will contribute to prepare a new Design Guidelines for Sea dikes in Vietnam.
