The impact of ethanol to bentonite slurry in construction technology using bentonite slurry trench method

Abstract

    When applying waterproof technology using bentonite slurry trench method, material mixture is made by making bentonite slurry first, then blend with soil to create backfill, that is used to provide impermeable barrier. By such a construction method, and based on required specification in different cases, creating satisfied bentonite slurry requires the use of some kinds of admixtures. Through the obtained experiment results, the paper presents the impact of ethanol to bentonite slurry, conclusions and recommendations for the works those will be constructed using bentonite trench method to proof water in the next coming time.
