Resevoirs in Ninh Thuan province - results and future development plan

Abstract

    The Ninh Thuan province has developed extremely after 36 years of Vietnam's Liberation Day. Hydraulic works, especially reservoirs constructed after the Liberation Day also play an important role in the development of the province. These reservoirs bring green environment to the province, fulfill water demands for many others purposes, and contribute to mitigation flood hazards. However, practical aspects during construction and management of reservoirs also raise many issues. This paper will present the effectiveness, limitation and orientation in development of reservoirs in the Ninh Thuan Province.
