Effect of irriation frequency on cashew nut yield in Southeast Vietnam

Abstract

    Althought cashew is usually planted in dry areas and poor fertiliser, cashew nut yeild significantly increased by application of appropriate irrigation. In addition, technology of water-saving irrigation pointed out that products of cashew nut increased 8-22% as compared to traditional irrigation. However, effect of applying water-saving irrigation is much depended on water amount and growth period, etc,.. This research is aimed to focus on irrigation method, growth periods of cashew. And to evaluate the irrigation frequency, this research applied for 2 periods: irrigation before flowering period and after flowering 30%.
