Some theoretical and experimental results of the recovery of electric power on the bus D1146 when using TEG equipment make use of motor exhaust heat

Abstract

    The article presents the results of the theoretical calculation of the potential of exhaust gas and electricitythat can be obtained when utilizing the exhaust heat of the D1146 engine on the bus by using thermoelectricmodules (ThermoelectricGenerator - TEG). When using 6 thermoelectric power modules produced in therated working mode of the engine (n = 2500 vg / ph; Ne = 130.5 kW) by 38.5W; On the basis of surveyingsome types of thermoelectric modules currently in and out of the country, the ability to install equipmentTEG in the bus compartment of Thang Long / HaNoi has calculated the design and fabricated anappropriate TEG model. Also this paper presented experimental diagram and experimental results of TEGapplication installed on the exhaust pipe of D1146 engine on the bus. The experiment was carried out whenthe vehicle parked at the engine on the working vehicle, the electric power result obtained at the rated speedmode of 2500 vg / ph was 16.1 W. The use of power generators using thermal modules is a very promisingapplication. For large electric power power can use multiple thermoelectric modules.
