Study on method of evaluating quality in operating hydropower station

Abstract

   In operating hydropower stations, one of the most concerned issues is efficiency of water use. A number of different criteria and tools are currently used to evaluate the quality in operating hydropower station. The most popular method of those is comparing yearly producted power output to designed one. The
disadvantage of this method is only evaluate the hydrological regime, not the efficiency of water use. In this study, we propose a number methods of evaluating quality in operating hydropower station as well as their application conditions. These evaluation methods have been applied to a number of hydropower station in Vietnam such as Bao Lam 1, Bao Lac B, Cam Thuy 1, Muong Hum, Huong Dien, ... The results show that methods has been evaluated exactly quality and promoted improving operating methods, efficiency of water use in operation hydropower station
