In this work, synthesized TiO2 photocatalyst by a precipitation method using Tetra isopropyl ortho
titanate as a precusor and commercial PAC flocculants were used for decolorization of Direct Blue
DB71 in water. The flocculation method, photocatalysis method and the combination of these methods
were applied to evaluate the degradation of dye through the concentration of PAC, the concentration of
TiO2 and pH. The experimental results showed that by the flocculant - photocatalytic combining
method, the decolorization efficiency of DB71 dye can reach 76 % at the TiO2 content of 800 mg/L and
PAC 200 mg/L.
