THE FACTORS AFFECTING WORK MOTIVATION OF LECTURERS AT HUE COLLEGE OF ECONOMICS – HUE UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This paper evaluated factors affecting on lecturers’ work motivation in Hue College of Economics – Hue University. Exploratory Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression Analys were adopted with the data collected from a survey of 120 lecturers currently working in Hue College of Economics. The findings showed that there were 6 factors influencing and impacting positively on teachers’ work motivation, including work conditions, relationships with colleagues and superiors, compensation, job specification and placement, promotion and development, and recognition. Nevertheless, the College should pay special attention to improve work condition, appropriate and prompt assessment as well as recognition of teachers’ contribution; teachers would additionally have more motivation to devote themself to College’s development in the future.
