COORDINATION AND TRANSMISSION OF NARRATIVE VIEWPOINT IN HO ANH THAI NOVELS

Abstract

Viewpoint is one of the leading elements of literary creation. The narrative viewpoint governs and affects other elements in narrative art such as rhythmic narration, narrative objectives and narrative tone and language and etc. Vietnamese prose in post-renewal years has had significant innovations in the viewpoint of narrative. Among those, Ho Anh Thai is a writer who has experienced in his work a modern narrative way with a dynamic viewpoint, which yields subtle and profound findings. His work is dealt with the different types of viewpoints such as inner viewpoints, outer viewpoints, spatial viewpoints, the temporal viewpoints etc. These have created multi-faceted, multi-layered structures in such a way that showed the talents of writer Ho Anh Thai.
