Abstract

The experiment was conducted using 20 sows F1(Landrace x Yorkshire) of the 2-4th litters. Animals were randomly allocated into 5 dietary treatments with different levels of ca tra oil supplementation (0, 2, 4, 6 and 8% as DM). The arrangement of this experiment was completely randomized block design with 4 replicates. Oil was supplied when the sows got 107th day of pregnant until piglets weaning. The results show that body live weight losses during laction period reduced by 10-26%, the interval from weaning to first estrus was shorten by 0,25 - 2,75 days and milk yield increased at 11 and 18 days when oil supplement levels of 6-8%; however, oil supplementation to the sow’s diets did not affect the number of piglets per litter and the survival rate at weaning, but improved piglet weight gain at weaning.
