Abstract

Ho Xuan Huong’s Nom poetry is considered one of the few representative peaks of Tang poetry written in Nom in Vietnamese medieval literature. The impression of images and the interesting and unique “intertextuality” are the source of inspiration to bring Ho Xuan Huong’s poetry from the realm of literature to the visual arts of art forms such as painting and acting. Medieval chant. Up to now, her poetry “causes difficulty” for any translator who wants to re-express the work’s content in another language. The relationship between poetry and painting, based on the application of methods such as interdisciplinary literature - culture, analysis, synthesis, comparison, and statistics, in this article, we seek answer the beauty of artistic images in Ho Xuan Huong’s Nom poetry. From the image of visual beauty in Ho Xuan Huong’s Nom poetry, the article contributes to identifying and describing the manifestations of aesthetic concepts, the basis that governs the creative activities of the queen of Nom poetry.
