Abstract
Teaching in the direction of developing learners' abilities and qualities is considered a fundamental innovation of the Education program. That is also the general trend of advanced education systems in the world to narrow the gap between university human resource training and labor market requirements. The article uses the competency approach theory to teach a specific content in the Nguyen Trai and Nguyen Du modules in the Vietnamese literature process for Literature students at the university level
