HUMAN CAPITAL AND ECONOMIC GROWTH - THE CASE OF SELECTED ASIAN COUNTRIES

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of human capital on economic growth. The research focused on 30 Asian countries in the period 1990 to 2021, and used quantitative analysis methods, the research results have showed that human capital has a positive impact on economic growth, therefore improving human capital has the potential to boost economic growth. The study also confirms the positive impact of trade liberalization policies on economic growth, and simultenously economies with high carbon emissions have more advantages in achieving economic growth goals, especially in the short term. In contrast, there is no evidence of the impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth.
