Abstract

The article analyzes the development, strong application, as well as the transformation of the role of artificial intelligence (AI), especially generative artificial intelligence models (GenAI), in the context of modern educational science research. Initially, AI was only used as a technical support tool in some fields, helping to search for information, process and summarize documents. AI has recently gone much further, taking on highly creative tasks such as suggesting research ideas, building theoretical frameworks, reviewing content and supporting formatting, selecting journals in the publication process. Reviewing recent research works, the article shows that AI is contributing to improving efficiency, enhancing quality and promoting innovation in educational research. However, besides the benefits, the application of AI in educational science research also raises issues of ethics, transparency, and accountability. The article therefore highlights the importance of using AI proactively, critically and responsibly, with the role of the researcher playing a central role in ensuring academic depth, contextual relevance and humanistic values in educational science.
