The potential of Quang Ninh province to become a growth pole

Abstract

Economic growth does not begin everywhere at the same time. It only appears to varying degrees in developed poles before spreading to the entire region or economy. The growth pole theory has been researched and implemented in Quang Ninh for more than ten years. The basic model of growth pole theory is to prioritize investment and create conditions for an integrated economic center like Van Don or Ha Long to develop stronger and faster in order to activate smaller economic centers or urban areas throughout the region. The impressive development of Quang Ninh in recent years appears to have been influenced by growth pole theory.
