Về những đóng góp của Giáo sư Đinh Xuân Lâm trong sử học Việt Nam hiện đại

Professor, People’s Teacher Đinh Xuân Lâm was one of the leading scholars and key figures of revolutionary Vietnamese historiography in the second half of the 20th century. However, up to now, research on him has only approached and presented a few aspects, mostly in the form of personal memories or reflections through a number of articles published in the book "Historian, Teacher Đinh Xuân Lâm" (Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences, Hanoi, 1995) and the commemorative volume "Professor, People’s Teacher Đinh Xuân Lâm - A Lifetime Dedicated to the Cause of National Science and Education" (National Political Publishing House Truth, Hanoi, 2021). Based on selected and verified information from these publications about the life and career of Professor Đinh Xuân Lâm—especially grounded in his scholarly works—this article focuses on analyzing and clarifying his outstanding contributions in two main areas: history education and historical research. Through this, it offers some initial assessments of the contributions and the significant role of educator and scholar Đinh Xuân Lâm in the development of modern Vietnamese historiography from the second half of the 20th century to the early 21st century.
