Abstract

Although the Great Romania existed only in more than 2 decades (1918-40), but this is an extraordinary significant event in the Romanian national history as for the first time all regions where the Romanian made up the majority were unified. The foundation of the united state-nation was a greatest event of the process of hard struggle of the Romanian people. After founding the united national state in 1918, the enlargement of its territory and demographic area challenged the Great Romanian government to eco-social and diplomatic fields.

Positioned in geo-politics in East Europe, Romania was a conflicting place, always converged influences of the powers in the history, thus protecting that united achievement in 1918 was not a simple problem to the Romanian government during 1918-40, especially in the context of Europe and in the world in the time of temporary cease-fire.

Possibly, in the political life and international relations, lot of small countries became a sacrificial substitute and barters in the conflicts among the powers. The struggles for "justice" and "equality" among the nations were not simple at all.
