Activities of the US NGOs in Vietnam, 1995 - Present

Abstract

Since 1995 until now, the US NGOs in Vietnam have been constantly increasing their number of activities as well as their values of aid. Prior to 1997, the US NGOs deployed their plans and projects in the whole 64 provinces of Vietnam. Their activities consist of three major aspects: the NGOs for socio-cultural fields; the religious NGOs; and the NGOs for charity and humanity, to cradicate hunger and alleviate poverty, and to overcome natural and war calamity. Beside their significant contribution, the plans projects, and modes of the US NGOs still expose many problems, which are discussed in this article.
