Abstract
Japanese has a diverse and complex writing system in which Kanji accounts for about 70% of documents. There have been many studies on different aspects of Japanese, but research related to Japanese collocation is still very limited. Especially, in Vietnam, the study on this aspect is still a new issue. This article mentions the urgency of including Japanese Collocation in the Minna no Nihongo Japanese textbook of Lac Hong University. For Vietnamese learning Japanese, although they can understand the meaning of words, they cannot be applied to express many ideas. Collocation is the most important aspect in vocabulary, and this vocabulary-aspect learning activity takes the most time. For university students majoring in Japanese, not remembering vocabulary will make it difficult to master other skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing
