Abstract
DC motor is an important control subject in a very wide ranger of applications for many different areas. WWith such, the PI controllers has been widely used by mant authors in the world to control a DC motor. Fuzzy controllers is also used to replace the PI controller to ensure appropriately flexibility in process control. However, system responses of the PI and fuzzy controllers has been settling time with high overshoots and non-zero steady-states errors. So, the paper addresses to study ability of replacing the PI controller and fuzzy controller with the hedge algebras - based controller for DC motor. The simulation result in comparison with the convetional controllers, dimonstrate the effetiveness of the novel hedge alge bras - based controllers.
