Using Padlet to enhance writing skills for the first-year students at Quang Ninh University of Industry
Abstract
One of the new methods that help learners to improve their writing skills in learning English is using Padlet. However, this method has not been widely applied in schools and universities in Vietnam, including Quang Ninh University of Industry. Therefore, this study was conducted to test whether using Padlet improves the students' writing skills; as well as the students' abilities and attitudes about this application. Action research is conducted with the use of both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including pre-test, post-test and questionnaires.The results show that the students have improved their writing ability after using Padlet and they show a positive attitude towards using Padlet in learning Writing skills. The author recommends that English teachers should implement Padlet in teaching English in general and teaching Writing skills in particular.
