solutions for developing new academic programs to enhance student enrollment appeal at Quang Ninh university of industry
Abstract
In the context of increasing demands for innovation in higher education, universities are under significant pressure to adapt to the evolving socio-economic landscape and shifting trends in student career preferences. Developing strategic plans to introduce new academic programs aligned with labor market needs has become a critical factor in enhancing institutional competitiveness and student enrollment. Quang Ninh University of Industry is no exception to this trend.
Aligned with the socio-economic development strategy of Quang Ninh Province—transitioning from a "brown" economy to a "green" economy—this paper proposes the introduction of several new academic programs with high development potential in the near future. These include: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and E-commerce. These proposed programs are consistent with the province’s development priorities, respond to the increasing demand for high-quality human resources, and leverage the university’s existing faculty capacity and training infrastructure.
