Effectiveness evaluation of hemorrhoid soaking medicine on patients after hemorrhoid surgery at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital

Abstract

Objectives: 1. Describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of the patient before hemorrhoid surgery.  2. Evaluating the effectiveness of hemorrhoid soaking medicine on patients after hemorrhoid surgery at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital in 2022. Research subjects: 59 patients after receiving hemorrhoid surgery at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital.  Research methods: Controlled clinical intervention, the research group included 28 patients who soaked in traditional medicine, and the control included 31 patients soaked in betadine after hemorrhoid surgery.  Results: The group that was soaked in traditional medicine after hemorrhoid surgery had more notable effects in hemostasis, anti-wetting, anti-swelling, and pain-relieving than the group that used betadine. Conclude: The remedy of soaking hemorrhoid is more effective than soaking with betadin on patients who are post-hemorrhoidectomy and it does not have unwanted effects.
