INNOVATION IN TEACHER TRAINING IN PEDAGOGICAL SCHOOLS AN URGENT REQUEST

Abstract

Improvement of quality of education is, first and foremost, to improve the quality of the teachers’ training. The innovation of the pedagogical institutions plays the most important role in the improvement of the quality of teachers. Generally speaking, the curriculum and the teaching methods are out of date. At present, the way of training does not provide the knowledge of culture, educational thinking, pedagogical ability and skills, the ethical foundation of being a teacher. Generally, the pedagogical students are not fully prepared by the pedagogical colleges to work as teachers after graduating but as a Jack of all trades. The contents of disciplines instruction, the curriculum, and methods of training utilized by the pedagogical colleges in all fields of activities from the professional thinking and skills (hard and soft) to ethics are not much different from the curricula and methods of teaching in the universities of science and technology or sociology. The above-mentioned fact makes it difficult for the students when they conduct teaching in the schools of general education. Lack of connectivity to some extent, between the content of training of the pedagogical colleges and the schools of general education, needs more debates and further consideration
