SKILL DEVELOPMENT OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID 19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

Developing appropriate skills for university students is an urgent issue in today's changing and challenging global socio-economic context. The Covid 19 pandemic has placed a significant impact on university student life, forcing students to adapt to online mode of learning as well as a combination of online and onsite learning simultaneouly. In the online learning environment, besides common skills such as teamwork skills, independent working skills, communication skills, leadership skills, students have formed new skills such as digital skills, online communication skills, skills to adapt to online assessment forms, etc. This article attempts to deal with skill groups of university students as consisting of student life skills and work- related skills. The data in the article are based on the research project conducted at Hong Bang International University in the academic year 2020-2021 through a survey of 19 lecturers and 280 English majored students
