SOME TRENDS IN CHANGING INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE RECORDED BY UNESCO IN THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS: CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

Considered as a land of cultural legacy, the Central Highlands region is distinguished not only by its tangible cultural heritages but also by numerous esteemed intangible cultural heritages that have garnered recognition from UNESCO. Employing the methodological approach of document analysis to leverage pre-existing scholarly findings, this study investigates the prevailing trends in the evolution of intangible cultural heritages acknowledged by UNESCO within the Central Highlands region in contemporary times. The outcomes of the research indicate that, in response to environmental and societal transformations while addressing human necessities, the intangible cultural heritages of the Central Highlands are subject to continuous evolution. Through comprehensive analysis, this article recommends some management strategies aimed at the preservation and enhancement of intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO in the Central Highlands region.
