Abstract

Based on two VHLSS data sets from 2006 and 2018, this article examines individual resource determinants and family socioeconomic situations that influence social stratification in the South. The results of multivariate regression model analysis demonstrate that all of the above factors have a significant impact on social stratification in the South. In particular, when it comes to occupational class stratification, characteristics like education, income, and location of residence (rural vs. urban) have a significant impact on workers' occupational status. In terms of income-based social stratification, four factors have a significant impact on household income: the household head's education, location of residence, occupation, and the level of urbanisation in each economic sub-region. international. Finally, in terms of owning expensive household items, income, education, and place of living all have a significant impact.
